Effingham Junior High School edged Charleston in A baseball game action Thursday, 7-6,
Charleston took a 3-1 lead after two innings and led 5-1 after four. Effingham then tallied four in the fifth and two in the sixth. Charleston scored its final run in the bottom of the sixth.
Volpi had a double and two RBI while Fox had a double for the Mustangs. Perry added two singles and two RBI.
The Mustangs are now 5-11 on the season while Charleston dropped to 12-3.

At St. Anthony
Effingham St. Anthony tallied a 10-6 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Thursday.
CHBC took a 1-0 lead and led 2-1 in the top of the third. But the Bullpups scored four in the bottom of the frame to lead 5-2. CHBC came back to lead 6-5 in the top of the fourth. But, once again, here came the Bullpups with two runs in the bottom of the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Stewart had two singles, a double and drove in three runs for St. Anthony. Wines added two singles and Sehy a double and an RBI.
CHBC was led by Hilvety-Southard with a single, double and two RBI while Rhodes had a triple and three RBI.

At Altamont
Altamont edged Sigel St. Michael 3-2 Thursday. All five runs in the contest came in the sixth and seventh. St. Michael held a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth before Altamont tied in the bottom of the frame. Altamont then tallied the winning run in the seventh.
Miller had two singles while Cripe had a double and an RBI. Hammer also had a double.
Croy and Gaddis had the only two hits for the Sharpshooters with a single each. Croy added two RBI.

Teutopolis brought home 10 runs in the second inning and dominated Flora Floyd Henson 12-7 in action Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes had 15 hits led by Pruemer with two singles and a double, Schmidt with a single, double land three RBI and Bushur with a double, home run and three RBI. K. Althoff contributed two singles and Buehnerkemper and Koester had two singles and an RBI each.

North Clay (Louisville) edged Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 3-2 in action Thursday.
WSS took a 1-0 lead in the third inning before North Clay tied in the fourth then took a 3-1 lead in the fifth. WSS came back with a run in the bottom of the fifth but couldn't get over the hump.
Fleener had a single, triple and an RBI for the winners while Weidner had two singles and an RBI.
Kinkelaar and Davis led WSS with two singles each.

Sullivan played host to Neoga and claimed a 12-4 victory Thursday.
Luke Romack had two singles for Neoga while Will O'Dell, Cam Buescher and Malachi Staszak had a single each.
In the second game, Neoga was a 13-1 winner. Phil Harris had a double and home run while Staszak had two singles and Paci McClure a triple. Quintin Richards, Gage Stevens and Bryar Hennesay had a single each.
