TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School took the early lead and held on for a 5-2 win over Altamont in baseball competition Monday.
T-town took a 1-0 first inning lead. Altamont came back to lead 2-1 after three innings. The Wooden Shoes tied in the top of the fourth then moved ahead with two in the sixth and finished out with one in the seventh.
Dust had three singles and an RBI for the Shoes while Jansen added a double. Hardiek and Kremer had a single and an RBI each.
Altamont was led by Whitt with a double. Hammer had a single and an RBI and Kuhlman an RBI.
The two squads played another four inning contest with T-town in the lead 8-2 when it was called. The Shoes are now 6-1 on the season while Altamont drops to 2-1.

At Brownstown
Brownstown/St. Elmo jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead and that's where the scoring ended as the homestanders took a 6-1 victory over Odin/Patoka Monday.
Jace McWhorter threw a two-hitter with three strikeouts and one walk. He threw only 67 pitches.
Nate Philpot and Rocky Himes had a single and two RBI each while Bryton Pruett had a single and an RBI and Isaac Maxey and Caleb Atwood a single each. BSE improves to 2-2.

Dieterich pounded home 18 runs behind a 14-hit attack in beating Ramsey 18-4 Monday.
The Movin' Maroons took a 5-2 opening inning lead then had a 12-run second. The game ended in the fifth inning.
Campton had two doubles and three RBI for the winners while Flach had a single, double and two RBI, Schmidt a single, double and three RBI, Bohnhoff two singles and two RBI, Hunzinger a double and an RBI and Bushur a double.
