ALTAMONT -- Effingham Junior High School took a 12-0 first inning lead and went on to trounce Altamont 22-1 in three innings of baseball action Friday.
The Mustangs' A. Cunningham was the winning pitcher, going two innings, not allowing a hit, one walk and striking out five. Woomer came on to throw the third inning and did not allow a hit, three walks and struck out two.
Bushur had a single, home run and four RBI while Duncan had a home run and an RBI and Kalber a home run and three RBI. Lohman contributed a double and two RBI.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor took a 3-1 first inning lead and downed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 11-1 in six innings Friday.
Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by A. Wittenberg with two hits and an RBI. J. Wittenberg had one hit and two RBI and Vonderheide had two RBI.
CHBC was led by Hilvety-Southard with a hit and Buzzard with an RBI.
Gavan Wernsing was the winning pitcher on a one-hitter with three walks and 10 strikeouts. Stew-Stras/Windsor is now 7-1 on the season.

Altamont trailed Brownstown/St. Elmo 2-1 after two innings but moved ahead with a five-run third and held on for a 10-9 victory Friday.
Miller sacrificed in the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh. Cripe had a single, double and three RBI and Kollman, a single, double and two RBI.
Myers led BSE with three singles and Hall had two singles.

Oblong claimed a B victory over Teutopolis in action Friday. Oblong tallied a 4-1 first inning lead then tacked on four more in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Teutopolis had five hits led by Lustig with two singles.
Littlejohn led Oblong with two home runs and five RBI while Johnson had three singles and two RBI.
