Teutopolis Junior High School held off a final inning challenge by Effingham St. Anthony to take a 9-8 victory in baseball competition Wednesday.
The Bullpups held a 3-1 lead after one inning. T-town came back with two runs in the second and two runs in the third to lead 5-3. St. Anthony tied in the top of the fifth but T-town regained that lead in the bottom of the frame then moved ahead 9-6 in the sixth. St. Anthony mounted a comeback with two runs in the top of the seventh only to fall short.
K. Althoff led T-town with two singles and a double. Pruemer added two singles and an RBI.
St. Anthony was led by Hoene with a single, double, triple and three RBI, Mendella with a single, double and an RBI, Stewart with a double and an RBI and Levitt with a double.

North Clay (Louisville) banged out 15 hits and jumped out to a 9-0 first inning lead, finishing with a 15-5 win over Neoga in five innings.
Clifton had a single, two home runs and five RBI while Ingram had a single and two doubles. Weidner finished with a single, home run and four RBI, Dawkins had a double, Zimmerman two singles and two RBI and Fleener two singles and an RBI.
Neoga was led by Moran with a solo home run, Buescher with a double and Campbell with two singles and an RBI.
