NEOGA -- Neoga played host to Effingham Sacred Heart and nabbed a 12-8 victory in junior high baseball action Tuesday.
The two teams were tied at 4-4 after the first inning. The Shamrocks took a 5-4 lead and led 8-6 after four innings. Neoga then came back with a six-run sixth to pull out the victory.
Paci McClure had a triple while Luke Romack had a single and triple. Justin Bullock added a triple.
Neoga improves to 2-2 on the season.

St. Anthony stepped out to a 4-2 opening inning lead, had a seven-run second inning and downed Altamont 16-5 in five.
Mendella had three singles and two RBI for the Bullpups while Blanchette had two singles and an RBI.

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor improved to 4-0 on the season with a 19-0 win over Cumberland Tuesday.
Stew-Stras/Windsor tallied two in the first, seven in the second and 10 in the third.
Wernsing and J. Wittenberg had three hits each for the winners. Wernsing added five RBI and Wittenberg two. Vonderheide had two hits and four RBI, Rincker two hits and three RBI and Kirby two hits and an RBI.
Gavin Wernsing threw a no-hitter with one walk ane six strikeouts to improve his record to 2-0.

Teutopolis outlasted Mattoon in action Tuesday, 19-10.
The Wooden Shoes took a 9-0 first inning lead and had a six-run third, tallied a run in the fifth and three more in the seventh.
Bushur had two singles, a double, triple and drove in three runs for the Shoes. Konkel had two singles and four RBI. M. Althoff had a double and an RBI and and K. Althoff two singles and an RBI.

CHBC trailed St. Peter 4-1 after two innings then had a five-run third and a six-run fourth.
