Effingham Seniors Compete at University of Notre Dame

Team Extreme played five games over three days at the University of Notre Dame.

Team Extreme picked up a 1-0 win over Top Tier Darnell in action Thursday. Team Extreme tallied the lone run in the ninth.

In Friday play, Team Extreme fell to the Cougars 3-2. The two were tied at 1-1 after the first inning. The Cougars took a 2-1 lead in the third and Team Extreme came back to knot the score in the fifth. The Cougars then won in the sixth.

In the second game Friday, the Aces Baseball Club blanked Team Extreme 5-0, scoring one in the second and sixth and three in the fifth.

In Sunday play, Team Extreme downed Lincoln Way Vipers Lynch 10-4. Team Extreme took a 3-1 first inning lead and led 4-3 in the fourth then tallied three in the fifth and three in the sixth.

In the final game, Top Tier Darnell was a 6-3 winner, taking a 2-0 first inning lead. Team Extreme pulled within 3-2 in the third but Top Tier Darnell tallied two more in the fifth and one in the seventh.
