Sehy & Jones Downs Washington Savings For Junior Championship

Sehy & Jones Optometrists edged Washington Savings Bank 7-6 for the championship of the Junior Babe Ruth League Tournament Wednesday evening at Paul Smith Field.

Washington Savings stepped out to a 4-0 first inning lead. Sehy & Jones tallied one in the second but Washington Savings   came back with a run in the top of the fourth to move ahead 5-1. It was then Sehy & Jones' turn to come back with four runs in the bottom of the frame to knot the score at 5-5. Sehy & Jones moved ahead with a run in the fifth. Washington Savings tied the score at 6-6 in the sixth.

Sehy & Jones then won the contest in the bottom of the seventh.

Hunter Stephens had a single, triple and drove in three runs for the winners. Adam Fearday tallied three singles and an RBI. Colin Fielitz had a single and double and Dylan Overbeck a double and an RBI.

Leading Washington Savings were Cameron Kalber with a triple and an RBI, Braeden Quandt with triple, Noah Trimble with a double and two RBI and Kolin Waymoth with a double.
