Munzel (Tony) A. Kull 72 years old of Altamont, Illinois passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon February 10, 2025, at 3:56 PM at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, February 16th at 3:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont with the Rev. Gary Fortkamp officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be conducted from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday February 16, 2025, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church prior to the funeral service time. Christian Burial Rites will be conducted at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Altamont following the funeral service.

Tony was born August 2, 1952, in the Mark Greer Hospital, Vandalia, Illinois, the youngest of three children to Woodrow Albert and Vera Lillian Marten-Munzel Kull. Tony grew up in Altamont, IL attending Altamont Grade School and Altamont High School with the Class of 1970. He then later attended Concordia University, an electronic trade school in Chicago, Il. He also graduated from Indiana State University where he obtained a degree in communications engineering. Tony maintained the Mediacom tower in Altamont. He worked with a radio station in Missouri and Shelbyville, Illinois. In later years, Tony was proud of helping with the development of the Lakeland College radio station. Tony delivered the Effingham Daily News and donated his time to delivering meals on wheels as well as the recorded church service for the shut-ins. Tony was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont, Illinois where he donated much of his time as a sound technician for church as well as community affairs. He never knew a stranger. Tony was an avid sports fan for the ALIS Rockets and Altamont Indians. Tony enjoyed keeping up with the many activities of his nieces and nephews.

Tony is survived by his: Brother: Lynn A. (wife Debbie) Kull of Altamont, Illinois and their children: Audrey Ann (Lucas) Kull-Lilly of Chicago, Illinois and their daughter Vaeda :Trenton W. (wife, Amber) Kull of Altamont, Illinois and their children: Braven and Emryn and their Grandson Noah and his Brother Desmond Klimpel Several Cousins, Nephews and Nieces

He was preceded in death by: his Parents, Sister Angela A. Ohnesorge and Nephew Jordan Joseph Kull
