All's well that ends well as far as the Stewardson-Strasburg Comets baseball team is concerned.

Stew-Stras had a big early lead Friday, lost it, but came back to win the game over the Neoga Indians 7-6.

The Comets scored five runs in the first inning and scored in the second to increase the lead to 6-0.  Neoga got a run back in the third to make it 6-1, and then scored five times in the seventh to tie the game 6-6 and send the contest into extra innings.  Stew-Stras plated a run in the eighth, though, held down Neoga in the bottom of the frame to claim the win.

Ben Helton got the win with 1-2/3 innings of relief work for the Comets, while Atwell took the loss for the Indians.

R. Walk had a two-hit game for Neoga and drove in three runs, and Moore and Yurs each had a hit and a RBI.  Monroe and Albin each had two hits and G. Walk, Michael Baker and Jake Baker each had a hit.

For Stew-Stras, Jones had a hit and scored, Kramer had a hit and scored, Vonderheide had a hit and scored twice, Thies had a hit, scored and drove in a run, Fulk drove in a run, Ohnesorge scored and drove in a run, Helton singled and scored, Newkirk had a hit, and Helmuth had a hit and drove in a run.

Stew-Stras is now 10-4 on the fall, 6-2 in the National Trail Conference.  They're back in action Tuesday against St. Anthony.
