Effingham Junior High School blanked Casey-Westfield 10-0 in baseball action Monday.

The Mustangs took a 5-0 second inning lead then had single runs in the third and fourth and three in the fifth. Bryce Lohman had the only extra base hit of the game with a double. Koenig picked up the pitching win to improve to 6-0.

Effingham has a 15-1 record.

Sacred Heart hits came from D. Kruger and R. Kruger.

Okaw Valley edged Stewardson-Strasburg 5-3. Okaw Valley stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead. Stew-Stras pulled back within 3-2 after four innings but Okaw Valley tallied two in the top of the sixth.

Overbeck had two hits and scored all three runs for Stew-Stras.

Aaron Nohren had the only hits for Beecher City with two singles.

Altamont had six hits in the game led by R. Armstrong with a triple. Dieterich was led by P. Thoele with two singles and L. Thoele with a single, triple and an RBI.
