RAMSEY -- Effingham St. Anthony stepped out to a 5-1 first inning lead, had a five-run second and went on for a 14-8 win over Ramsey in high school baseball action Monday.

Nick Grunloh pitched an eight-hitter to pick up his first varsity win of the season.

St. Anthony is back home today hosting Neoga in a 4:30 p.m. contest

At Dieterich

Windsor blanked Dieterich 3-0. The Blue Devils scored all three runs to break a 0-0 tie in the sixth inning.

Windsor had five hits led by Alex Allen with two singles. Dieterich was led by Alex Bohnhoff and Trenton Poe with two singles each. Tanner Traub added a double.

Kyle Pruemer improved his pitching record to 3-0 as Teutopolis downed South Central 10-4.

The Wooden Shoes banged out 11 hits in the contest, six extra base hits. B. Wenthe hit a single, home run and drove in two runs, J. Waldhoff had a double and a triple, D. Smith had a single, double and three RBI, K. Pruemer had a double and two RBI and C. Wendling had a double and an RBI.

Pruemer pitched a four-hitter with one walk and six strikeouts.

N. Powless led South Central with a single, double and an RBI.

St. Elmo edged Noble 2-1. The Eagles tallied a run in the second and in the fifth. Noble scored in the sixth.

Dalton Parks was the winning pitcher throwing a one-hitter with five walks and five strikeouts. Levi Maxey had a double while Ben Davis had two singles for the winners.

St. Elmo improves to 5-3 and hosts Altamont today.

Brownstown picked up an 8-1 victory over Patoka Tuesday.

Patoka scored first with a run in the top of the third. Brownstown came back in the bottom of the frame to take a 3-1 lead, then had a four-run fifth and scored a single run in the seventh.

The Bombers had six hits in the contest.
