It was a pitcher's dual and despite the fact Will Cluasius allowed only one hit, Effingham Junior Post 120 fell to Salem Post 128, 5-0 in baseball action Tuesday evening.

Clausius went four innings, walked four and struck out two. He allowed one run to pick up the loss. Salem took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a lead-off walk, a fielder's choice and two wild pitches. That lead went until the fifth when Salem scored another run then finished out with three in the sixth.

Zach Consolino picked up the pitching win for Salem, allowing six hits, no walks and striking out five.

Effingham Post 120 dropped to 4-3 on the season and will be back in action today at Dieterich for a 6 p.m. start.
