ST. ANTHONY/SACRED HEART
-- There will be an informational meeting for St. Anthony Junior High School boys baseball players and their parents Wednesday, July 25 at 6 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at St. Anthony High School. If there are any questions, phone Ken Cornell at 342-4688.
BEECHER CITY
-- There will be a player and parents meeting Tuesday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Beecher City Grade School in the music room for all sixth through eighth-grade boys interested in playing junior high baseball. Coach Michael Nelson wants to meet with players and parents. Practice will be held at the park from 9-11 a.m. Athletes must bring proof they have had a sports physical on the first day of practice. The first game is August 11 in a tournament.
ST. ELMO
-- St. Elmo Junior High School baseball first practice will be held Monday, July 30 at Deken Park. Equipment needed will be ball glove, ball hat and baseball pants or sweats. For questions, contact Coach Rincker at 217-821-0915 or email: crincker@stelmo.org. Baseball Camp is July 23-26 at Deken Park. Price is $20 per child. Make check payable to SEHS and entries can be mailed to St. Elmo High School. Second through fifth graders are from 9-10:30 a.m. and sixth-ninth graders from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
NORTH CLAY
-- There will be a North Clay Junior High School baseball meeting Monday July 23 at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the junior high. Those participating will go over team rules, practice schedule, game schedule, and uniforms. All players should plan to attend or make arrangements with Jason Lewis if they are unable to attend.
DIETERICH
-- There will be a junior high school baseball practice Thursday, August 2 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Current sports physical must be on file and activity fee must be paid before an athlete can participate.
