Imogene A. Dial, 76, of Effingham passed away on Friday morning, December 27, 2013 at Brookstone Suites in Effingham.
 
Cremation rites will be accorded and memorial services for Imogene will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham with Rev. Earl Brown officiating. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. till service time at the church and burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Moccasin Twp, Beecher City. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Services are in care of Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Condolences may be left online at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.
 
Imogene was born on April 23, 1937 in Beecher City, the daughter of Percy and Melinda (Hammer) Manuel. She worked at General Electric in Mattoon for 33 years making flash cubes. Imogene was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Point and is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham.
 
Imogene enjoyed playing with her dog; Magic, getting her nails done, going on vacations and spending time with her son Brad.
 
Survivors include, son; David Bradley “Brad” Dial of Effingham, grandson; Nathan Bradley Gruel, nephew; Travis Manuel and niece; Marnie (Bill) Murray.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter; Glenda Kay Dial.
