Larry Russell Henderson, 67, of Hidalgo, IL passed away at 5:35 AM on December 26, 2013 at his residence.
 
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday December 29, 2013 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial with Military Rites by Cumberland County Veterans will be in the Aten Cemetery rural Hidalgo, IL.
 
Larry was born in Olney, IL on September 7th 1946 to Russell & Beulah (Isley) Henderson. He married Joyce Markwell on December 28, 1969.
 
Surviving is his wife of 44 years; Daughters Tracy (Mark) Wade of Greenup and Linda Ervin of Hidalgo; Sister Janet Henderson of Newton; Step Mother Betty Henderson of Newton; Step Brother Rex Whalin of Texas and Step Sister Sandy (Herb) Steinger of Charleston; Grandchildren Leah Ervin, Dawson Ervin and Katie Wade.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; Sister Carol Lake Volkman; Step Brother Eric Whalin and Brother In-law Delaine Lake.
 
He was in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong farmer, his number one pastime was spending it with his grandchildren; he loved hunting, fishing, gardening, watching ILLINI basketball, and hunting and eating mushrooms in the spring.
