Wayne L. “Buster” Flowers, age 69 of Wheeler, passed away at 9:02 AM, Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10am Monday, the 7th at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton with Nate Hagen officiating.  Burial in Mound Cemetery near Willow Hill.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Sunday.  Memorials to the Latona Church of Christ Building Fund.

Wayne was born on August 6, 1944 in Effingham, IL the son of Floyd and Lottie May (Main) Flowers.  He married Barbara Short on April 23, 1994 in Newton, IL.  Wayne was a factory worker.  He was a member of the Latona Church of Christ.  He enjoyed working on cars, NASCAR and spending time with his family.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Dorothy Harper, Lillian Schenck and Gladys Jones.
