Frances Magdelyn (Budde) Davis, 84, of Decatur, formerly of Altamont, died at 9:50am Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Fair Havens Christian Home in Decatur.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, June 28 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2155 North Oakland in Decatur.  Family will greet friends from 10am until service time Thursday.  Gieseking Funeral Home in Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born September 23, 1927 in Altamont, the daughter of Ernest and Augusta (Becker) Budde.  She married Charles Davis in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1963.  She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont until she moved to Decatur, when she joined Pilgrim Lutheran Church.  She was retired from Homann Grain in Altamont where she had been employed for many years.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Davis and friend Don Knowles of Orlando, Florida, Victoria Schroeder and husband David of Decatur...son, Spencer Davis and wife Maureen of Sorrento, Florida...grandsons, Charles and Joseph Davis...two great-grandchildren...sister, Cornelia Greene and husband Jim of Suwanee, Georgia...niece, Sharon Rose...and nephews, Bill, Terry and wife Judy and Jerry and wife Connie Greene.

She was preceded in death by her parents...her husband...her brother, Richard Budde...and her sister, Gertrude Durheim.

She was an accomplished pianist and will always be remembered for the pies she baked for the Foodland Cafe in Altamont.
