David Frailey, 58, of Altamont died at 9:50 pm, Friday, February 7, 2025 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham IL.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Rev. Mike Burdick officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
David Lee Frailey was born on Monday, September 5, 1966 in Kankakee, IL to Roger Lee Frailey and Jeanette (Baggett) Goudreau. He was a shop supervisor and CNC programmer for SIM Products, Shumway. He married Kimberly (Corbin) Frailey on June 18, 1999.
Dave had a life-long love of the outdoors and nature. He was a moccasin-wearing free spirit that would give you the shirt off his back, if he was wearing one.
He is survived by: his wife of over 25 years, Kim Frailey of Altamont; father, Roger Frailey of Effingham; sons, Devin (Hali) Frailey of Effingham and Cody Frailey of Effingham; grandchildren, Reece Holbrook, Caden Frailey, and Hayes Frailey, sisters, Cheryl Ann (Eric) LeClair of Swansboro, NC and Susan Lynn (Adam) Munday of Kankakee, IL; parents-in-law, James and Shirley Corbin of Altamont; sister-in-law, Lynn (Steve) Crothers of Vandalia; nieces, Amber Boothby, Alyse Sharp, and Jessica (Scott) Ulmer; nephews, Aaron Boothby and Billy Sharp; great nephews, Gavin Crubaugh and Scotty Ulmer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Goudreau.
