
Roger Dale Klitzing (71) of Altamont

Roger Dale Klitzing, 71, of Altamont, Illinois passed away suddenly early Saturday, February 1, 2025 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 11am at St. Paul Blue Point Church in Altamont, Illinois with Rev David Speers officiating. Visitation will be held the evening prior, on Wednesday, February 5th at 5pm at the church.
Kull Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral costs.
Roger was born in Taylorville, Illinois on May 6, 1953, the son of Arland and Vivian (Logue) Klitzing. Roger was a member of the St. Paul Blue Point Lutheran Church.
Roger served many jobs through the years, but his favorite was being an over the road truck driver. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren. He loved fastpitch softball and was very involved with ASI.
Roger is survived by his wife of 21 years, Annette (Nichols) Klitzing, his son Joshua (Wendy) Klitzing of Altamont, grandson Zachary Massie of Pana, granddaughter Katie (Shaye) Albert of Neoga, great granddaughters Gina LaGrand-Massie of Altamont, Kimber Massie of Altamont, great grandson Noah Albert of Neoga. Step-sons Bryan (Bridget) Drake of AL, Daniel (Emily) Drake of Effingham, granddaughter Lily Drake of Effingham. Sisters Candy (late Robert) Arnold of Shumway, Cheryl (Charles) Burks of Beecher City. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by: His son Scott D. Klitzing, his parents, his sister Jerri Rotramel, brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Arnold, nephews Zachary Burks, Dylan Taylor, and many others.
