Hubert J. Williams, 95, of Brownstown, died at 7:52 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at his home. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown with Pastor Don Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown with military rites by the Brownstown VFW Post #9770 and Crawford-Hale American Legion Post #95.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2025 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to service time.  Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Hubert Junior Williams was born on February 1, 1929 in Denoya, OK to Hubert Henry Williams and Lola Jane (Woods) Williams.  He married Betty Lawson on November 29, 1952 in Pigott, Arkansas.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea.  He was an oilfield mechanic for Exxon Mobile for 35 years.  He was a member of the Brownstown United Methodist Church, the Brownstown VFW, Post #9770, and a volunteer with the Brownstown fire department for many years.

Junior is survived by his wife of over 72 years, Betty of Brownstown; son, Warren Williams of Brownstown; 2 grandchildren, Tammy (Dustin) McKinney and Clint (Tiffany) Schwarm; 6 great-grandchildren, Austin Schwarm, Haley Cannon, Katlyn (Liam) Dugan, Dawson McKinney, Eric McKinney, and Braden Schwarm; 5 great-great grandchildren, Briella, Braelyn, Brooklyn, Briar, and Layla.

He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Sherry Schwarm; sister, Marjorie Harre; grandsons, Curtis Schwarm and Cody Williams; great grandson Bradley Schwarm.
