Ronald M. Lang age 63, of Newton, Illinois passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Cremation rites will be accorded.  Memorial services celebrating Ronald’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2025 at New Beginnings Church in Newton with Pastor Larry Matson officiating. The family will receive family and friends following the service. Crain Funeral Home, Newton is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Ronald was born on June 18, 1961, in Elgin, Illinois the son of Eldo Fred and Barbara Jean (Cooper) Lang. On August 6, 1993, Ronald married Barbara Murray. She survives. Ronald was a retired truck driver, having driven for the Keller Trucking Company. In his free time, Ronald enjoyed fishing. He was a huge country music and loved watching CMT. He dearly loved his grandchildren and all the time spent with them.

Ronald will be loved and remembered by his wife, Barbara Lang of Newton; his children, Steven (Erin) Lang and Candice (Robert) Cooper all of Elgin, Illinois; grandchildren, “Little” Robert Cooper, Madison Cooper, Ava Lang and Mason Lang; step-children, Joshua Smith of Newton, Justin (Rachel) Smith of Willow Hill and Lindsey Smith of Newton; step grandchildren, Austin Smith, Nolan Wheeler, Kendal Smith, Ethan Smith, Maverick Smith, Emily Newkirk, Brooklynn Alden and Hunter Alden; siblings, Mike Lang, Penny Rakow and Pam Wimpelbreg all of Sheffield and William Lang of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews.
