Ruth Anna Wolf (94) of Shelbyville, formerly of Neoga and Argenta

Ruth Anna Wolf, of Shelbyville formerly of Neoga and Argenta, Illinois, passed away at 12:10 PM Saturday December 14, 2024 in the Hawthorn Inn in Shelbyville, Illinois.

Mrs. Wolf was born October 23, 1930 in Strasburg, Illinois the daughter of Lloyd E. and Clara C. (Lading) Buesking. She married Kenneth W. Wolf June 16, 1957 in Stewardson, Illinois. Ruth was a retired Elementary Teacher in Argenta-Oreana and Bible Grove, Illinois, and also retired from the Gerber State Bank in Argenta, Illinois. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sigel, Illinois, a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Decatur, Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Retired Teacher's Association, National Education Association, Illinois Education Association, former member and President of the P.T.A. in Argenta, Illinois, former Girl Scout Leader and played in the Kitchen Band. Mrs. Wolf graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Masters and Bachelors degree. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and especially visiting with family and friends.

Ruth is survived by her children, Kristy Pranschke (John) of Neoga, Illinois, Kathy Davis (Eric Korndorffer) of Federal Way, Washington and Kent Wolf (Amanda) of Mason, Illinois; brother, Arthur Buesking (Doris) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister, Norma Jean Hardiek (Roger) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Matthew Harner (Ashley), Nicholas Harner, Tristan Wolf, Cheyanne Wolf, Nathaniel Wolf; step granddaughters, Heidi Korndorffer and Baily Shafter; great grandchildren, Gracelynn Osborne, Willow Harner, Hazel Harner, Harrison Harner, Norah Shafter and William Shafter.

She was preceded in death by parents. Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sigel, Illinois or Trinity Lutheran Church in Decatur, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday December 21, 2024 in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Decatur, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday December 20, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois and from 10:00 AM until service time in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Decatur, Illinois. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM in the Friends Creek Twp. Cemetery near Argenta, Illinois.
