Bill Finn, 97, of Hidalgo, IL passed away at 10:45 am on Wednesday November 20, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday November 25, 2024, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. There will be a one-hour visitation prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am, also at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery.
Bill was born on February 25, 1927, in Hidalgo, IL, to William and Florence (Oaks) Finn. He married Anna May Duckworth on September 25, 1948, in Newton, IL. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Survivors include sons Jerry (Carol) Finn, Harold (Janet) Finn, and Phillip (Tammy) Finn; daughters Patty Clark, and Jennifer (Greg) Taylor; sister Betty Ebbert; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, son Billy Ray Finn, brothers Fred, Ed, Orville, and Charlie Finn; sister Edna Kibler; and son-in-law Harold Clark.
Bill honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a farmer and worked for Grain Bin Construction for many years. He was also involved in the racehorse business.
