Keith was born on March 25, 1951 to Harold and Violet (Wendte) Bahrns. He was later joined by two younger brothers, Dennis (Mary) Bahrns of Neoga and Alan (Julie) Bahrns of Effingham. They grew up working together on the family farm. Keith graduated from Effingham High School and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign. He had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. Keith married the love of his life Patsy Crites on April 21, 1974. They were overjoyed to celebrate their 50th Anniversary earlier this year. They were blessed to raise their three children, Nathan, Elizabeth, and Scott (Jennifer) here in Effingham. He worked at Fedders, TSI Graphics, and as an over-the-road truck driver for different companies. He enjoyed several years owning his own semi-truck and driving where he wanted to part-time. He always spent his free time helping others and working on the family farm with his brothers. In retirement, he enjoyed going to auctions, watching the stock market, and working in the yard. He loved growing bright flowers like marigolds and sunflowers that were 10 feet tall.
He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his brothers, wife, and children. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and their children.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
