Lottie N. Shook, 87, of Greenup, IL passed away at 12:51 am on Friday August 30, 2024, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.

Visitation for Lottie will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday September 6, 2024, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday September 7,2024, at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenup. The burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Lottie was born on November 30, 1936, to Virgil and Florence (Hall) Gatton, in Robinson, IL.

Survivors include her children: Kenneth Shook, Kathy Scott, and Judy Harvey; grandchildren Kristan Scott, Michael Scott, Matthew Scott, and Cody Harvey; great-grandchildren Cooper Harvey, Vania Scott, Tatum Scott, Indi Scott, Michael Scott, and baby boy Scott arriving in December 2024; brother Charles (Cathy) Gatton; sister Karen Mitchell, and sister-in-law Kathy Gatton; several nieces and nephews and good friend Phyllis Hawes.

Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert, Arthur, and Frank Gatton; sister Lavina Riker; brother-in-law Cecil Riker; and two nieces Cecilia (Riker) Bourezg, and Kelly Gatton.

Lottie worked as a secretary for the Cumberland Unit #77 for 31 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenup, the Cumberland Historical Society, and a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America. Memorials can be made to the Cumberland County Military Museum.
