Marilyn L. Baker (94) of Trilla

Marilyn L. Baker 94, of Trilla, Illinois passed away at 10:50 pm Monday August 12, 2024 in the Cumberland Rehab & Health Care Center in Greenup, Illinois. 

She was born November 14, 1929  in Trilla, Illinois the daughter of Leon D. and Hazel (Newman) Cordes.  Marilyn married Louis C. Baker March 19, 1950 in Mattoon, Illinois.  Mr. Baker passed away January 31, 1988.

Mrs. Baker was a secretary for a produce delivery service and a homemaker.  Marilyn loved planting flower beds and being with her family. 

She is survived by her son Andy L. Baker (Christine) of rural Trilla, Illinois; daughter, Tammy S. Hebner (Greg) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Mitchell Hebner, Evan Hebner, Kate Baker and Megan Baker; brother in law, Erwin Starwalt (Sue) of Toledo, Illinois.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Baker; son, Tony Joe Baker; brothers, Jack Cordes, Charles Cordes; sister Sue Starwalt; grandson, Ethan Hebner.  

Marilyn enjoyed watching wildlife, therefore memorials are suggested to any animal charity.

As per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Marilyn’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Cumberland Rehab And Health Care Center in Greenup for their excellent and compassionate care of their mother during the time she was there.
