Carol A. Fancher, 72 of rural Farina, died at 2:33 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon.

A graveside service, conducted by Rev. Bill Schwengel, will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Mason Cemetery, Mason. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society. Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood is handling arrangements.

Carol was born on October 23, 1939 in Effingham County, Illinois the daughter of John and Marcella (Eident) Kuhlman. She married Paul Fancher on March 13, 1958.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed to garden.

Surviving are her husband; Paul of Mason, children; John and William Fancher of rural Farina, Susan (Gail) Bissell and James (Donna) Fancher of Mason, Sally Gouchenouer of Hord, and Luther Fancher of Mason, 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, brothers; Gerald (Judy) Kuhlman of Mason, and Dewey Dean Kuhlman of Effingham, sisters; Alice O’Leary of Kinmundy, Jean Austin of Effingham, Barbara Sharon Jones of rural Farina, Linda (Tom) Edwards of Effingham, and Judy (Danny) Austin of Mason.

She was preceded in death by a son; Douglas, parents, sisters; Mary Carpenter, Norma Van Meter, brothers; Junior and John E. Kuhlman, and great grandchild; Shelby Cameron.
