Betty J. Jenkins, 83, of Kinmundy passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Salem.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at Kinmundy Christian Church.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Thursday and from 1 to 2pm Friday at the church.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy.  Memorials to the Kinmundy Christian Church Building Fund.

She was born October 4, 1929 in Marion County, the daughter of Harry and Dollie (Butts) Geiler.  She married James Ershal Jenkins on October 3, 1947 in Kentucky and he preceded her in death.  She worked at Brown's Egg Factory in Farina, Salem Shoe Factory and Bettendorf's in Salem.  She was a member of Kinmundy Christian Church for over 40 years.

Survivors include sons, Terry Jenkins and wife Dorothy of Kinmundy and Gary Jenkins and wife Judy of Salem...brother, Bryce Geiler and wife Shirley of Kinmundy...sister, Gay C. Quandt and husband Phillip of Centralia...sister-in-law, Dorothy Geiler of Kinmundy...four grandchildren, Chandra Markley, Amanda Kelley, Bryce Jenkins and Clint Jenkins...and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents...her husband...two infant brothers, Bruce Geiler and Robert Geiler...and a sister, Joyce Potter.
