Arthur Kramer (90) of Springfield

Arthur Kramer, 90, of Springfield, entered eternal rest Sunday morning May 26, 2013 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village, Springfield.

A funeral mass will be at 12 PM Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Kinmundy, with burial to follow at Farina Cemetery, Farina. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time at the church.

Arthur was born on February 19, 1923 in Farina the son of Edward and Alice L. (Metzger) Kramer. He married Kathryn (Turner) on November 6, 1954 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Kinmundy.  He was an elevator constructor for over 40 years with Otis Elevator Co., member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Springfield, and a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors. Arthur enjoyed gardening, the great outdoors, and returning trips “down home.”

Surviving are his wife, Kathryn of Springfield; son, Paul (wife, Heidi) Kramer of Cary; daughter, Lisa (husband, Erik) Brihagen of Seattle, WA; sisters Catherine Bush of Eugene, OR, Elizabeth (Denis) Zavadil of St. Louis, MO, and Marilyn (Richard) Jose of St. Louis, MO; 2 grandchildren, Courtney (husband, PJ) Finigan and McKinley “Mick” Kramer; great grandson, Turner Finigan.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Edward M. and Carl Kramer; and sisters, Rita Stack and Nita Jackson.
