On Friday, August 26th, Beverly Crawford, age 66, was suddenly and unexpectedly called home to be with her Lord and Savior. Bev was already an Angel on earth, so she is well prepared for her role in Heaven.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Springhill Cemetery, St. Elmo, IL. Following will be a lunch at the American Legion in St. Elmo. Donations in her memory can be made to the St. Elmo Public Library. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Bev was the most selfless and caring person, always doing things for others. She tirelessly helped care for her mother, father, aunt, and in-laws during their illnesses as well as countless others throughout her lifetime. She led a loving and compassionate life and relished being a mother to 3 wonderful sons and grandmother to 3 adorable grandchildren. She was multitalented and enjoyed many hobbies over the years such as ceramics, rug weaving, and tending her beloved beehives. Bev spent many hours on the family farm enjoying tending to chores, gardening, and camping. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Bev studied and became a beautician and took over the family beauty shop when her mother passed away as well as doing hair at local nursing homes. In recent years, Bev was the orchestrator and hostess of the Sunday night family dinner where she would serve up a delicious homemade meal and revel in family time spent together.
Bev is survived by her husband, Rod, her partner in life for 44 years. She is also survived by 3 sons, Zach, Wesley (Jessica), and Michael along with 3 precious grandchildren, Heath, Vivian, and Juniper as well as her brothers, Gary and Dennis Flowers and her four furry felines.
We know that Bev is enveloped by the love of her parents, Leo and Betty Flowers, and grandparents Clifford and Faye Bieber who passed before her.
