Kenneth Tucker (78) of Effingham

Kenneth A. Tucker, 78, of Effingham, died at 10:23 a.m. Sunday, July 31, 2022 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Kevin Knierim officiating. Visitation will be for 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be at a later date at Little Prairie Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Care Center’s Heart to Heart Program.

Kenny was born on Sunday, January 30, 1944 in Altamont, IL to Clinton and Edna (Pendlay) Tucker. He married Rita Buening on February 5, 1965 and she preceded him in death on February 8, 2018. He was a member of Jackson Township Baptist Church and was a retired over-the-road driver for Putnam Trucking.

He is survived by: his son, Brian (DeeDee) Tucker of Altamont and Jason (Monica) Tucker of Oxford, IN; grandchildren, Zach and wife Michala Tucker, Taylor Tucker and fiancé, Peyton Kiefer and Justin Tucker.

Kenny was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Gene, Ted and Herb Tucker; and sister, Elizabeth Tish.
