Jeannie Garber (61) of Willow Hill

Jeannie Garber age 61, of Willow Hill passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her sister’s home in Newton.

Funeral services celebrating Jeannie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton with Pastor Tom Matson officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service on Sunday, May 22 in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Willow Hill, Illinois. Memorial gifts may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.

Jeannie was born on January 12, 1961 in Olney, Illinois the daughter of Irmel Eugene and Betty Jean (Roberts) McKee. On October 31, 1991, Jeannie married David L. Garber. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2008. Jeannie worked at the Newton Rest Haven and was a baby sitter for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and sitting on her porch visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her siblings Henry McKee, friend Freda Willard of Oblong, Harold McKee of Robinson, Mike McKee, wife Theresa of Newton, Gary McKee, wife Susan of Newton, Angie Shelly, husband Randy of Newton; brother-in-law Nory Japson of Willow Hill and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband David, sister Virginia Japson, sisters-in-law Cheryl Diane McKee and Karla McKee, a niece and a nephew preceded her in death.
