Clifford Lee French, 87, of Salem, Illinois passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital with family by his side.
Born October 28, 1934 in Effingham, IL, he was the son of Rufus and Sarah (Stidwell) French who preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2022 at the East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. The family invite you to gather with them at the cemetery for interment services. He was married to Mary Linthicum, June 22, 1957 and she preceded him in death July 17, 2016.
Survivors include Cheryl Mitchell (Sherman Sills) of Odin, IL; Carla Jones of Salem, IL; Debra French (Stacey Easley) of Iuka, IL and Laura Holstlaw (Jeff) of Salem, IL along with several grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a granddaughter whom they raised, Shannon Lambert of Salem, IL and a great-grandchildren they raised, Haley and Blaid Phillips both of Odin, IL. Other survivors are his siblings, Eugene French of Effingham, IL, Barb Cade of Ramsey, IL and Sue Sloan of Decatur, IL.
