Katherine Rose Clark (91) of Dundas

Katherine Rose Clark age 91 of Dundas, Illinois passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022 in her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded to Mrs. Clark. Burial will be in the Redford Cemetery at a later date.

Katherine was born on November 12, 1930, in Newton, Illinois the daughter of George and Lucille (Phillips) Colwell. In January of 1948, Katherine married Chester Edward Clark. They shared seventy years of marriage before his death on May 15, 2018. Katherine worked for Jafco and E.R. Moore in Newton. She later worked as a nurses’ aid at the Olney Nursing Home and the Murray Center in Centralia, Illinois. Katherine attended the Community Church of Farmersburg. In her free time, Katherine enjoyed reading, visiting resale shops and crocheting afghans. She liked to embroider quilt blocks. With the help of her daughter-in-law, she was able to recently finish two quilts. Katherine loved to spend time visiting with family and friends.

Katherine is survived by her children Donnie (Mary) Clark of Mt. Grove, MO, Tom Clark of St. Mary, MO, Roy (Julie) Clark of Willow Hill, IL, Jeff (Betty)Clark of Farmersburg, IN, Ray (Becky) Clark of Dundas, IL, Peggy Rodgers of Olney, IL, Ted (Debbie) Clark of Elizabethtown, KY and Mike (Pam) Clark of Dix, IL; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-four great- grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren; sister Shirley (Claude) Alexander of Lee’s Summit, MO; sister-in-law Julia Colwell of Newton and brother-in-law Darold Miller of Newton.

Her parents, husband Chester, daughter Rhoda Carol Clark, infant son David Clark, grandson Stephen Postlewait, and siblings Rhoda Schwarz, Carol Miller, Morrey Colwell, Donald Colwell, and Roy Colwell preceded her in death.
