James Wesley Miller, age 90, of Hot Springs, AR and formerly of Newton, IL passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at his residence.

Graveside Military rites will be held at 10:30 AM – Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Mound Cemetery in rural Willow Hill, IL with rites by the Jasper Post #20 American Legion.  Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL. Mr. Miller was born in Crawford Co. IL., on June 24, 1921 to the late Harlan & Rose Miller. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the European Theatre and was discharged as a sergeant on Jan. 31, 1946 after serving 3 years, 6 months and 11 days.

Survivors include his wife, Edna L. Miller of Hot Springs; children, Larry Miller of Dallas, TX., Terrie Miller and Garie Miller both of Hot Springs; sister Amy Shields of Oblong, IL., 2 step-grandsons, 5 greatgrandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
