Raymond Earl Rogers (75) of Altamont

Raymond E. Rogers, 75, of Altamont, died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
As per Raymond’s wishes he was cremated. There will be a graveside memorial service at Springhill Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Raymond Earl Rogers was born in St. Elmo on Sunday, December 10, 1944 to Edward M. and Letha (Dial) Rogers. He retired from Fedders USA, Effingham. He was a long-time Democratic Precinct Committeeman in Effingham County.
He is survived by his sisters, Janet Rogers, Beulah Rogers, Margaret Rogers, and Dorothy Key all of Altamont; step-sister, Joan Jenkins of Sherwood, Arkansas; step-brother, Jimmie (Joyce) Rogers of St. Elmo; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Rogers.
