Marjorie Lois Winkler, 81 of Dieterich, IL passed away at 2:36 AM – Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church south of Dieterich, IL with Pastor Stephen Gillet officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery south of Dieterich, IL. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Friday, March 29, 2013 at the church and ½ hour before the services in the church. In loving memory of Lois, memorials may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Dieterich High School Scholarship Fund or the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, IL.

Lois was born on January 12, 1932 in Mattoon, IL the daughter of Rene and Pauline (Dowell) Dent. She married D. A. “Wink” Winkler on February 7, 1953 in Mattoon, IL and he survives. Lois was a home economics teacher and taught for 37 years in Riverton and Dieterich Schools. Lois was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Women’s club and Effingham County Home Extension. She enjoyed sewing and reading.

Lois is survived by her husband of 60 years – D.A. “Wink” Winkler of Dieterich, IL, Children – Tina (Thomas) Tromiczak of Hindsdale, IL, David (Brenda) Winkler of Effingham, IL, Lisa (Brad) Bushue of Effingham, IL, her grandchildren – Daniel (Camille) Winkler, Kristen Winkler, Hailey Bushue and Jacob Bushue, Brother – David (Vivian) Dent of Bakersfield, CA and her sister – Betty (Cleo) True of Vero Beach, FL.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Anna Decker.
