William Andrew Casey Jr., age 67, passed from this life at 8:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Bill was born in Chicago, IL on May 3, 1953 to William Andrew and Retha Anne (Evans) Casey. He graduated from Cumberland High School in 1971 after which he studied Autobody technology at Lakeland College in Mattoon, IL where he received his associate degree. He worked throughout his life as a body man, tinkering on cars, and various odd jobs.

Bill was briefly married to Karil Shields in 1973 with whom he shares his first daughter Adriane. In 1991, Bill and his long-time love Deanna Barthelemy eloped to Las Vegas, NV.

Anyone that knew Bill knew he loved his family and spent his whole life dedicated to helping others. He spent every moment with his kids Evan and Audrey at travel softball, wrestling, and jiu jitsu and spent many years with his love competing in derbies and enjoying car shows. Bill could be often found at the Fillin’ Station talking to any number of the hundreds of people he called friends about his beloved family and cars (the older the better). On December 19, 2020, he was never prouder than the moment he was able to pin his daughter after watching her graduate from nursing school at the University of Missouri. Even in death Bill was thinking of others by being an organ donor.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Patsy. He is survived by his wife Deanna, children Evan Casey, Audrey Casey, Adriane (Matthew) Voyles, Grandchildren Tanner (Zoe), Gavin, Reese, Marshall, Jonas, Lucas, Lincoln, Evie, Elise, Josie, Anna, and Novi, great-grandchildren Aurora and Eliana, and sister Shirley White.

Visitation to celebrate the life of Bill Casey will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Salem United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery. Please practice social distancing and masks will be required while attending services. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.

Donations can be made to the Coles County Animal shelter where Bill found his friend Odie, the Salem United Methodist Church (1327 CR 450 N, Toledo, IL 62468) where Bill found his love for Jesus, or the charity of your choice. Online condolences can be expressed by clicking here.
