Betty Wiseley (78) of Toledo

Betty L. Wiseley, 78 of Toledo, passed away at 8:07 a.m. on March 21st, 2013 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL. 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 on Monday March 25th 2013 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 on Sunday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Janesville Cemetery Janesville, IL.

Betty was born in Toledo, IL on April 28, 1934 the daughter of Oscar “Doc” & Viola (Modrell) Titus. Betty is survived by one son Rick Russell of Toledo and one Brother Ralph Titus of Toledo, IL. Grandma Bet was a loving, caring and devoted grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son David Wiseley in 1988.

Betty was a homemaker and was owner of the Toledo Coffee Shop for many years; she sold Avon, she also worked at the Greenup Bowling Alley, was a cook at the Sigma Kappa House in Charleston, was secretary at the Life Center in Toledo where she did a variety of jobs, peace meal delivery and driving people to appointments. She volunteered many hours there. She was a member of the Toledo Christian Church the Order of Eastern Star #231 and the Toledo American Legion Auxiliary.
