Harold Taggart (88) of Gilbert, Ariz. Formerly Of Hazel Dell

Harold Eugene Taggart, 88, of Gilbert, Arizona, and formerly of Hazel Dell, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, October 2, at Hazel Dell Church of God in Hazel Dell, with Pastor Brooke Davis. Burial will be in the Hazel Dell Cemetery in Hazel Dell.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home – Bishop Chapel in Greenup. Harold Eugene came into this world April 16, 1932.  He was born at home, in Hazel Dell, the son of Wayne and Dorothy Taggart. Harold grew up, helped work in his father’s store and feed mill.  As a young man he recognized the call of God on his life and chose to preach the Gospel.  He faithfully ministered and shared the word of God throughout most of his life. His ministry began in 1958, at Cooper Chapel in Marshall. His ministry spanned for over 50 plus years and won many souls for the Lord.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Kohl; grandchildren, Sean Kohl, Aaron Kohl, Geoffry Kohl, Kyle Wright, Ryan Wright, Leslie Wright and Faith Kohl; great-grandsons. Gage Kohl and Sterling Kohl and brothers, Marshall Taggart and Victor Taggart both of Hazel Dell.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda Taggart, children, Harold Wayne Taggart, Robert Eugene Taggart and Karen Louise Wright.
