William G. Sparling, 84, of Ingraham, passed away at 8:06 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Clay County Hospital in Flora.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no service. Burial will be in Headyville Cemetery, Dieterich. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at www.jwnealfuneralhome.net.
William was born August 29, 1928 in Clay County, the son of Pearl and Lola Ellen (Mefford) Sparling. He was a retired medic of the U.S. Army. He was a member of VFW and DAV of Effingham and American Legion of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cecil Milton Sparling and Tom Sparling and sister, Nona M. Tison.
Survivors include sisters-in-law, Marie Sparling of Ingraham and Anna Sparling of Effingham; several nieces and nephews.
