Robert H. “Shucker” Haskenherm, 85, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at his home in Teutopolis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bauer Funeral Home in Teutopolis. Memorial donations may be given to HSHS Hospice or Meals on Wheels. 

Robert was born April 10, 1935 in Effingham County, the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Henkelman) Haskenherm. He married Myrna Brown on September 22, 1962. Robert had served with the United States National Guard and was a member of St. Francis Church in Teutopolis and a lifetime member of the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus Council #2874. He worked for many years with the USPS as a rural mail carrier and also spent time farming.

Robert is survived by his wife, Myrna of Teutopolis; son, Steve (Karen) of Teutopolis; grandchildren, Brian (Tarah) Haskenherm of Effingham, Jordan (Katie) Haskenherm of Effingham and Christie (Brent) Kirchhofer of Shumway; great-grandchildren, Elena Kirchhofer, Adriana Kirchhofer and Max Haskenherm.
