James Owen Talbot (67) of Shelbyville

James Owen Talbot, 67, of Shelbyville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2020 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

James was born on June 7, 1953, in Bement, Illinois, the son of James Oscar and Patricia Jane (Terry) Talbot. James suffered a severe head injury while attending Danville High School but was able to eventually graduate in 1972. Due to his injury, James lived with his parents and was unable to live on his own. He lived in Danville, Illinois, until 1979, at which time he moved with his parents to Shelbyville where he resided until his passing.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Talbot who resides in Carol Stream, Illinois.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Patricia Talbot and sister, Janice. “Jimmy” and his brother “Bobby” were inseparable friends and constant companions as children. He will be greatly missed by his brother.

Private graveside services will be held in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family. Family and friends are invited to light a candle or share a story in James’s honor by clicking here.
