Richard Lee Shoot, 85, of Greenup, IL passed away at 4:50 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup, IL.
Richard was born on October 29, 1934 to Raymond and Delorise (Easton) Shoot. He married Alberta Ray on March 4, 1954.
He is survived by his three children Cindy (Jeff) Light, Jeff (Debbie) Shoot, and Sheila (Ken) Williams; eight grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and four brothers.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, great granddaughter, three sisters and two brothers.
Richard served in the Army from 1956-1963. He worked at Quinn Broom Works for many years and D&M Hardware for a few. He was a Christian minister for over 30 years. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed dearly! He didn’t know a stranger…spoke to everyone and was always ready to tell a joke.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Toledo Christian Church or Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center. Online condolences can be expressed by clicking here.
