Carolann Powell, 79, of Lerna, IL passed away at 5:35 am on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Heartland Senior Living in Neoga, IL.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.
Carolann was born in Olney, IL on October 26, 1940 to Robert and Mildred Fern (Oakley) Yaw. She married Leroy Powell on February 16, 1957. Surviving is her husband; daughter Tamie Evans; grandson Joshua Evans; 2 great-granddaughters; sister Connie (Jearld) Hall; sister in law Betty Yaw; brother in law Dana Starwalt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Bobby Yaw; sisters Evelyn Starwalt and Betty Mae Yaw.
Carolann had worked at Ettelbrick Shoe Company in Greenup and had been a supervisor at Silver Dollar City. She was member of the Toledo Christian Church and Jewett Community Church. Memorials can be made to the Cancer Center at Sarah Bush Lincoln Heath Center.
