Twilla Butonne “Bea” Crichfield, was born on June 27, 1931, on a little farm in Jewett, Illinois the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Greason) Kingery. While her roots were in Jewett, she also spent time living in Indiana and Wyoming (a personal favorite for her). She attended several churches over the years, but primarily Jewett Community Church.

She had a love of life and the world around her. She loved going, doing, and seeing. She enjoyed movies, television, reading, basketball, traveling, and attending live shows. Nothing made her, or the room around her, light up more than when dancing or singing (even into her 80's). She was always game for trying anything new, and her love of life and living was unstoppable.

Even though the final years of her life were challenged by dementia, she fought till then end to prevent it from slowing her down. When she could not walk without assistance anymore, she danced with her walker. When she was not able to walk anymore, or find the right words to express her thoughts, she would sing to let her joy out. Till the very end she seized all that life could give.

She possessed many wonderful gifts, the greatest of which was her heart. She was beloved by all that truly knew her.  She had enormous compassion for anyone who needed help. She was always in front to volunteer to help out when needed, especially for animals trapped on the freeway.

On April 12th, she reached the end of her journey on this earth, and we are all worse off for it. She is survived by her son, Michael Cricfhield and her son-in-law Omar Ortega (whom she adored).

In life, she was many things...and any qualities that are good about me, came from her. I was enriched for knowing her, and even more blessed to call her Mom. Till we meet again in Heaven, Love...your son.
