Larry N. Fehrenbacher, 70, of Effingham, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wendelin, IL. Burial with military rites will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, IL. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com
Larry was born on November 25, 1942 in Wendelin, IL, the son of Lorne B. and Mary V. (Klingler) Fehrenbacher. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former loan officer at the First National Bank in Effingham, and upon retirement enjoyed assisting at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham and Burkland’s Florist & Greenhouse in Effingham. He was a past Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Grand Knight in Effingham.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Julie (Michael) Hill of Olney and Gina (Kris) Kocher of Newton; grandchildren, Payton, Sarah, Dawson, Lauren, and Caleb; brothers, Dale Fehrenbacher of Rocky Mount, MO and Max Fehrenbacher of Blaine, MN; sisters, Frieda (Jim) Charters of Effingham, Kathleen Fehrenbacher of Effingham, and Rita Massman of Rotterdam, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Madeline Kaufman.
