William L. Goad, 77, of Mattoon, IL. passed away at 8:38 AM Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Mattoon Rehab & Health Care Center.
Burial and services will be at Friends Grove Cemetery at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family.
Bill was born on June 21, 1942 in Mattoon, IL the son of William McKinley & Odah “Maude” (Brandon) Goad. He married Doris Brandenburg on August 15, 1964.
Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years; son Brian Goad; daughter Melissa Goad (Wes Totten); his grandchildren Chris Totten, Sidney Goad, Anthony Goad and William Goad.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He retired from Meadow Gold Dairy where he was a truck driver for over 30 years. Bill attended the Friends Grove Church, was a member of the Mattoon Moose; and was a member of Teamster’s Local #26 in Champaign for over 55 years.
