Clarence F. "Corky" Bock , 78 of Shumway died at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home.

Corky was born January 29, 1941 in Shumway, Illinois, the son of Frank F. Bock and Eugenia A. (Koontz) Bock. He married Ann L (Majewski) Bock on August 14, 1971. After graduating from Beecher City High School in 1959, he moved for a short time to Chicago, Il to attend U of I at Navy Pier. He then attended college in Tulsa, OK, before moving to Southern California with his sister, Hilda Kissel and her family. There he started his sales career with Adohr Farms, moving then to Pepsi Co, PIE, Trans Con and finishing his career with ABF Trucking as Regional Sales Manager in Oakland, CA. After retirement in 2000, he returned back home with Ann to Shumway to be with family & friends. He was member of the Shumway United Methodist Church.

Corky loved his family, spending time with people and telling stories, helping people, offering advice, handing out money to inspire the young generation to "do good." He enjoyed his retirement years investing in real estate and teaching the value of the almighty dollar. He had a gift of gab, sense of humor and interacted with people in the "Corky" way - He was one of a kind! 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann L. Bock of Shumway. Daughters, Kristi (Bird) Ross and husband, Tim of Morro Bay, CA. Kelly (Bird) Ward and significant other, Bill Ormiston of Morro Bay, CA. Heidi (Bock) Nielsen and husband, Doug of Woodinville, WA. Son, Frank Bock and significant other, Diann Arvin of Avon, IN. Grandsons, Chad Ross of Bakersfield, CA. Nicholas Ward of Central Valley, CA. Granddaughters, Jonna Ross of Valencia, CA. Morgan Ohnesorge and fiance Matt Holomy of Manhattan, IL. Lauren Ohnesorge and significant other, Riley Spencer of Christ Church, Barbados. Madison Ohnesorge and significant other, Hunter Keith of Fort Wayne, IN. Sisters, Ida Donaldson (Dick) of Beecher City, IL. Hilda Kissel (Edwin) of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Nina Kline and husband, Charles of Beecher City, IL. along with several nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy (Bock) Ferguson and twin children at infancy.

A celebration of Life for Corky is planned Spring of 2020, as he really disliked the winter months! Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson is assisting the family. Clarence’s family invites family and friends to share a memory or light a candle in his honor by clicking here
