Dallas William Parkhurst, 55, of Hidalgo, Illinois passed away at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Cumberland Rehab &Health Care Center in Greenup.
Graveside funeral services with Military Rites will be at 10 a.m. at Aten Cemetery rural Hidalgo, Friday, August 16. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup is assisting the family. Dallas was born September 13, 1963 in Effingham to William Robert and Sharon Kay (Smith) Parkhurst. Dallas was a graduate of Newton Community High School. He served in the Army National Guard for four years. He worked for Howard Disposal Company for many years.
Surviving is his son, Derrick Parkhurst; mother, Sharon Parkhurst; foster parents, Jesse and Marjorie Starwalt; one grandchild, Keira Parkhurst; siblings, John Parkhurst, Betty (Larry) Barbee, Timothy Parkhurst, Joseph (April) Parkhurst, Elizabeth (Reza) Nasserizafar, Gina (Terry) Hanratty, Lora Starwalt, Jesse “Homer” (Diane) Starwalt II, Andrea Fain and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
